Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF, not just add text on top?
Yes. Edit text replaces the original words. It reuses the font embedded in the PDF, so the change blends in, and the old text is removed from the file.
Why can’t I edit the text in my scanned PDF?
A scan is a photo of a page, so there is no text to edit. Cover the old text with Whiteout and type new text with Add text.
Will editing change the layout of my PDF?
No. Only the line you edit changes. Everything else on the page stays exactly as it was.
